It took me about 15 minutes per piece – so, not very efficient at all, I guess? :)

I suppose it’d be fairly trivial to write a tool to help, but there were just too many decisions that needed a human to automate the process completely – e.g., which sense in WordNet to use for the source word, how to fit the replacement word back into the sentence, etc.

I’ve done very similar things for the Eater of Meaning but I never got them efficient enough to stick into a CGI. Also I didn’t think of using WordNet.
